Creative Artist

Elizabeth Martins is an artist from Houston, Texas, who is soon to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2D Studio Art from Sam Houston State University. The mediums she uses are painting, printmaking, watercolor, and sculpture, and currently the combination of oil paint, Ankara fabrics, embroidery, and vibrant textiles. Her practice reflects on Nigerian culture through personal memory, drawing inspiration from her childhood, family, fashion, and the lively celebrations she grew up around; as a result, capturing a carefree, in-the-moment energy.
